Ron is the Managing Director for Schwartz, Cooper, Greenberger, and Krauss law firm in Chicago. Ron represents developers, landlords, tenants and occasionally community groups in his real estate law practice.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Grais has been an active real estate developer for more than 20 years and has been responsible for more than a dozen projects, including shopping centers, office buildings and multi-family residential projects.

Ron is active in civic affairs in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. He is currently a Member of the Boards of WBEZ-FM Chicago Public Radio, the Interfaith Housing Development Corporation and the Chicago Venture Fund. Ron has also been a Director, Officer and committee member of Thresholds, the nation’s foremost psychiatric rehabilitation agency, since 1986. He has also served as a Commissioner and Vice Chairman for State of Illinois Guardianship and Advocacy Commission.

Ron has a J.D. from the University of Chicago, 1968 and a B.A. from Cornell University, 1965.
